Insurance

Billing and Insurance

Our office participates with numerous insurance companies and managed health care programs. For patients who are members of one of these plans, our business office will submit a claim for services rendered. If a patient has insurance that we do not participate in, our office will file an insurance claim as a courtesy, however, payment in full is expected at the time of service.

Insurance may cover all or part of the fee for service. Charges not covered by insurance are the patient's responsibility. Since mental health benefits may differ from medical benefits, patients should consult their insurance company’s description of benefits brochure or call the insurance carrier to determine benefits, co-pay, and deductible amounts. If preauthorization is necessary, patients must complete this prior to the appointment. Professional fees may be paid by cash, check, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover at the time of the visit. Patients are responsible for co-payment and deductible at the time of service for insurances with which we are a participating provider. It is the patient’s responsibility to provide us with current insurance information and to bring their insurance card to each visit.

We charge for appointments missed or cancelled without 24 hours notice. Charges for missed appointments are not covered by insurance.
