Dr. Ruth M. Baer graduated from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2002.  She then completed her first residency in Orthopedic Surgery at Midwestern University in 2007 followed by an Orthopedic Upper Extremity Surgical Fellowship at the University of Chicago.  After practicing for several years, she returned to Michigan State University and completed her secondary residency in General Psychiatry in 2015. 

In addition to her outpatient practice, Dr. Baer currently serves as a clinical consultant to the MSU Division of Sports Medicine, Department of Intercollegiate Athletics.
